CamCardio is an iPhone app that measures the heart rate. It is also able to extract an EKG-like curve in real time, on which the pattern extracted resembles the QRS complex. It uses only the iPhone camera and the flash. No external sensors are needed, making this an innovative, inexpensive and noninvasive approach to measure and monitor the heart rate.
